We stayed here just before Christmas and had a superb stay - service from Wendy and all the team was first-class. A really special place..great food, gorgeous bedrooms, roaring fires - all set in well-maintained formal grounds and stunning surrounding countryside. We'll be back! Andrew, John and Dusty.

The home made bread and food was amazing! And it was so lovely to use the hot tub. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing overnight :)

Great stay at one of the most dog friendly hotels we ever visited. Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Excellent service, amazing food (including vegan options) and nice clean rooms resulted in very relaxing holidays. We will definitely return when the weather is better and we get to explore the area a bit more.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce joli établissement. Notre chambre était parfaite, spacieuse, confortable, et pratique. Le personnel c'est très bien occupé de nous. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les petits-déjeuner et le dîner que nous avons pris sur place. C'est une adresse que nous recommandons !

We stayed for a second time in August. Unfortunately the room we were given had a bath which we were unable to use. Due to this when we booked for a return visit this weekend we specifically asked for a room with a walk in shower. We arrive today to find we were not given our requested room, Having booked 6months in advance we were discusted with the reason there was a mixup.The staff were very unhelpfully as was the owner who was hiding in the kitchen. We had no option but to leave as the room offered with a bath does not suit our mobility needs. It is 4pm getting dark and we have nowhere to stay We are spending the weekend at Drumlangrigg Castle Working at the Christmas Fair.

Fabulous hotel … wonderful stay & would highly recommend if you are looking for quiet & peaceful tranquility in lovely surroundings. Staff are great , food was superb.

Stayed here for a couple of nights for our 40th anniversary and all our family met up on one night for a meal. Fantastic ambience, warm and friendly staff, lovely food - can't wait to return.

Spa. Had a Xmas voucher from hubby. We live about an hour away. Took me 3 months to book a massage- cancelled, rearranged etc. when I finally went the massage therapist wasn’t there as she’s forgotten, despite me asking for confirmation 3 days prior.it felt really unprofessional- I saw her drive in tbe car park as I left! So if you go/ ask for a confirmation email and allow lots of time. Really disappointed- was looking forward to it

Went away for the weekend with my family including our ridgeback, it was such a lovely place to be the staff were all really friendly and really interacted with my 2 year old which I thought was brilliant for her. The rooms were a really good size with good size beds as well which my partner loved as I’m 9 months pregnant and have the most enormous pregnancy pillow so he managed to have some room in the bed, also the beds were really clean considering it was a dog friendly hotel I was expecting to find dog hair but the room was clean and tidy. The food was just amazing! Really felt like high quality food and tasted delicious. Had a spa treatment done as well and the lady was wonderful and made my experience really relaxing. Overall it was such a wonderful experience, would love to come back and would highly recommend.

We chose to book Trigony House because it is dog friendly and the hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Everything was well thought out from dogs treats in the room to a separate dining area where we could take our dog (who has anxiety issues). The staff were all very friendly & welcoming. A special mention to Chef Adam for his fantastic food (best meals I've had in a long time) and Richard for his excellent service, banter & wine recommendations. Will definitely be booking again.

Myself and my wife Angela spent 2 nights here last week. Dora was genuinely nice and looked after us well . Hotel and facility’s amazing. The food out of this world totally mind blowing. My mum and dad have just booked 4 nights and we will definitely be back.

A really lovely stay. Country house warmth rather than high luxury so very relaxed and cosy, with excellent evening meals and a welcome dedication to leaving the lowest possible carbon footprint. It's deservedly well known as being very dog friendly, but we're not dog people and were perfectly comfortable, there's a dog and a non dog dining room eg. Highly recommend the wood fired hot tub!

This was our last stop on our own version of the NC500, working our way back down the west coast. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable, in this lovely country house style property. Staff couldn’t do enough. Had a lovely dinner. A very pet friendly hotel, with lovely walks all around the hotel. Would highly recommend the hotel. Thanks P&Z

Brilliant dog friendly hotel with a great standard of food and service on offer. A little bit out of town, so most likely needing to drive anywhere but some fantastic views, open spaces, and parks very close by.

The staff there are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. We had forgotten to pack the dog's tea they even cooked him a breast of chicken served up especially for him. Country House Hotel that's so dog friendly. Fantastic.

The rooms themselves are a bit dowdy, albeit in an authentic way, but the staff here are kind and helpful (even when you arrive very late in the day) and the overall experience is wonderful, not unlike (I imagine) staying at a friend's old family house in the country. Great little bar if you fancy a wee dram before settling in. And dog-friendly!

This was the second time we have stayed here with our dog. The food is excellent, thoughtfully sourced and beautifully cooked. Our evening meal of venison with red cabbage was outstanding and the homemade vanilla ice cream is addictive; the full Scottish breakfast was superb. The service and all staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. This is such a lovely place to stop off on our journey to the Highlands. We'll definitely visit again.

I had to sadly cancel my visit due to a medical emergency at very late notice. The staff at Trigony could not have been more helpful, understanding or considerate under the circumstances. I can't recommend this customer service highly enough and am very much looking forward to booking in the future. Thank you!

Booked an evening meal for our family visiting from Australia. The country house hotel was warm and relaxing with the dining room looking out over beautiful garden grounds . Chef Adams food was outstanding using the finest organic and locally sourced ingredients. Just delicious!!. The service provided by Alasdair and Hunter was perfectd. Overall a perfect dining experience that our Australian family loved. Would highly recommended
